There are the players who compete in a few tournaments a year, the regular competitors… and then there's Frédéric Naroditzky. At 53, the man everyone calls "Naro" claims to have completed the 2025/2026 season with 176 tournaments under his belt. An exceptional year that he decided to celebrate in his own way: by bringing together everyone who shared the court with him for a "NARO's Cup" at the Padel Saint-Charles, in La Garde.
The ranking ultimately matters very little in this story. Frédéric Naroditzky is ranked around 4,900th in France , but his real playing field this season has mainly been… the tournament calendar.
According to figures provided by his entourage, the Var native participated in 176 competitions between the start and end of the 2025/2026 season , completed on August 31st. A total that would have allowed him to finish second in the ranking of the number of tournaments played during the season .
A piece of information that Padel Magazine could not independently verify from an accessible official publication, but which alone gives an idea of the pace followed by this enthusiast.
176 tournaments: almost one every two days
To measure what such a figure represents, one simply needs to do the calculation: 176 tournaments in a year corresponds to an average of nearly 3,4 tournaments per week .
A pretty spectacular pace for a 53-year-old amateur player.
Naro mainly played for clubs in his region, participating in numerous competitions and, naturally, acquiring partners. And it was precisely through these encounters that the idea of ending the season differently was born.
Rather than simply putting away his racket for a few days, he decided… to organize an additional tournament .
The NARO's Cup to bring together its partners of the year
The meeting is scheduled for Sunday, September 27th, starting at 10:30 am at Padel Saint-Charles de La Garde , in the Var.
The club boasts eight panoramic outdoor padel courts and regularly hosts competitions. A rather logical playing field to conclude this unusual season.
But the NARO's Cup will not be a competition like any other.
The idea is to bring together the players who shared the track with Naro at least once during his 2025/2026 marathon.
And they are many.
In his invitation message, the person in question announces that he has "summoned" 88 players who played in a tournament with him during the season .
The tone immediately gives an idea of the spirit of the day:
"You've been selected—or rather, summoned—to participate in the NARO's Cup with the 88 other lucky players who competed in a tournament with me this year!"
However, there's no question of calling it a free invitation. Naro warns his partners with the same self-deprecating humor: the day will cost 25 Euros , with tournament, barbecue, aperitif and champagne announced on the program.
817 matches and… 26,510 unforced errors?
Naro even prepared his own statistical summary of the season.
According to his count: 176 tournaments and 817 matches played .
As for the rest, it's obviously best not to seek validation from the FFT.
He humorously claims 26,510 unforced errors, 784 double faults, and only 54 winning points. .
And what about the 817 matches played? He estimates that 687 should have been won .
The reason for the defeats has already been found: his partners.
"687 matches that we should have won and that I lost surely because of you!", he slips into his invitation.
He even takes self-deprecation to the extreme of counting 2,451 balls used before concluding his improbable list of achievements with a statistic that is probably more revealing of the spirit of this adventure: "No disputes" .
Deliberately absurd figures that ultimately sum up quite well the character and philosophy of this NARO's Cup.
Behind the 176 tournaments, 88 partners and many encounters
Because the story goes beyond a simple personal record.
Competing in so many tournaments means regularly changing clubs, opponents, and partners. 88 people are said to have accompanied Naro to at least one competition this season.
This is probably the most interesting figure from his adventure.
At an amateur level, where padel is based as much on competition as on the social dimension, his season illustrates this ability of the sport to quickly create a network of players around a shared passion.
The NARO's Cup thus becomes less a celebration of its 176 tournaments than a pretext for bringing together those who participated in this marathon year .
At 53, passion comes before rankings
With a ranking situated around the Ranked 4,889th in France according to the information we received. Naro obviously did not travel to clubs in the Var region to continue climbing to the top of the French rankings.
His record lies elsewhere.

Play. Play again. Change partners. Sign up for the next tournament. And start all over again.
With nearly three to four competitions each week on average, Frédéric Naroditzky will have made the 2025/2026 season a real marathon.
And when the time came to celebrate the end of this adventure, he clearly didn't consider taking a few days off.
He organized… a new tournament .
The NARO's Cup, of course.
