The seeded 1 Yoan Boronad and Thibault Verdier wins the P1000 The Hangar, at the end of a spectacular final concluded with the score of 3/6 6/4 6/3 face Marc-Édouard Chavey and Roger Arumi-Siquier (TS2).
A complicated start for the number 1 seed
As in the semi-finals, Boronad and Verdier needed a set to fully enter their match. The pair Chavey / Arumi, more aggressive from the start, breaks in the first game and quickly settles into the match. Thibault Verdier, in difficulty, concedes several key points while Roger Arumi imposes his rhythm. Despite a comeback from the top seed at the end of the set, the initial break is enough: 6/3 for TS2.
The tactical turning point: Boronad goes left
The scenario repeats itself: as in the semi-final, Yoan Boronad decides to switch sides at the start of the second set to disrupt the opponent's balance. This choice proved to be profitable. Yoan, more present in the exchange, took control of the game and considerably reduced Arumi's impact.
In a boiling atmosphere at the Hangar, the French duo 5/4 break and pockets the set: 6/4.
A high-flying third set
The tension rises a notch in a final round of great intensity with long rallies and closely contested points. 3/2, Boronad and Verdier make the break and will not let go. Yoan continues with a series of brilliant performances, led by a rediscovered Verdier who is surgical at the net.
The duo concludes with a final liberating smash: 3/6 6/4 6/3.

First title for Verdier, confirmation for Boronad
It's the first P1000 in Thibault Verdier's career, brilliantly led by a great Yoan Boronad. Despite a great Roger Arumi in front, the young Frenchman showed all his composure and mastery.
A victory that confirms the good dynamic from Boronad, recently bronze medalist at the Junior World Pairs Championships with Timéo Fonteny.
Next step for Yoan: the FIP Platinum Lyon, where he will benefit from a wildcard into the main draw.
I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
