The French Alix Collombon and his Spanish partner Araceli Martínez begin their campaign today at Milan Premier Padel P1The draw was, once again, not kind to them: in the first round, they found themselves Lucia Sainz et Patty Llaguno, a pair they know well.
The two teams had already faced each other last week at the Rotterdam P1, a match won 6/2 6/3 by the Spanish. Collombon and Martínez will therefore be keen to take their revenge this Tuesday, but the task looks difficult against two experienced players.
This duel will have a special flavor since Sainz and Llaguno will play their last tournament together before separating. A context that will surely give additional motivation to the Spanish pair, eager to end on a good note.
The match is scheduled in the second rotation at 9:30 a.m. on the center court of the Allianz Cloud. In case of victory, the Frenchwoman and her partner will then have to face a major obstacle: the seeded 3 Bea González and Claudia Fernández.
A lively introduction for Alix Collombon, once again faced with a difficult draw, but who will have the opportunity to strike a big blow against a former world number 1 pair.
I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
