In a padel market where new products are constantly appearing, a young French brand intends to buck the trend. With a focus on quality, durability, and European manufacturing, DEM Padel wants to convince players that it is possible to combine performance, aesthetics and environmental responsibility.
The story of DEM Padel It is first and foremost the story of its founder, Thimoté Fernandez. A passionate padel player, he quickly discovered the limitations of current equipment: rackets that crack or break even though their inner foam remains perfectly usable. This observation led him to imagine a more sustainable alternative, with a simple idea: to offer a premium racket, made in Europe and capable of lasting much longer than traditional models.
A product of European manufacture, as claimed.
At a time when many brands have their products manufactured in Asia, DEM Padel claims a different approach. The rackets are designed in France before being handcrafted in Spain, a country considered the world benchmark in padel racket manufacturing.
According to the brand, this production circuit not only allows for better control of quality, but also reduces the carbon footprint related to transport thanks to manufacturing as close as possible to the European market.
Full carbon and Kevlar for enhanced durability
DEM's main argument Padel rests on the design of its rackets. Where many models use fiberglass, the brand claims to have opted for a carbon structure combined with Kevlar, a material renowned for its resistance.
The company also explains that it has developed a tubular frame designed to better absorb shocks and vibrations in order to preserve the racket's structure over time. The claimed result: a lifespan two to three times longer than that of a traditional racket, until the inner foam naturally reaches its wear limit. These performance figures are claims made by the brand in its press kit.

Three models to cover all profiles
The first collection is structured around three models designed for different levels of practice:
- Fuego Attack , geared towards intermediate and advanced players;
- Water , conceived as a versatile model accessible at all levels;
- Air Control , developed for beginner players looking for more comfort and forgiveness.
A deliberately selective distribution
Rather than multiplying points of sale, DEM Padel The company favors a limited distribution network. The rackets are sold on the brand's website as well as in a selection of partner clubs in France. This strategy aims to offer more personalized support to players while developing close partnerships with padel facilities.
Building a community first and foremost
The young company is also relying on young French players to increase its visibility. Gabriel Maril, Malo Cognet-Hocquet, Landeric Louis, and Victor Renard are among the brand's first ambassadors. DEM Padel indicates a desire to gradually expand this team with players present on the international circuit and to collaborate with French artists to imagine future exclusive designs.

Ambitions beyond padel
In the short term, DEM Padel aims to strengthen its presence in French clubs and develop its community. The objective is then to accelerate its development in Spain, Portugal and Italy.
In the longer term, the brand does not intend to limit itself to padel. It aims to evolve into a sports and lifestyle brand simply called DEM , with diversification into other racket sports, such as pickleball, as well as a future textile range.
With a focus on sustainability, European manufacturing, and a commitment to offering premium products at an accessible price, DEM Padel seeks to differentiate itself in a highly competitive market. It remains to be seen whether this philosophy will appeal to players on the field as much as it does on paper.
