Alix Collombon and her new partner Jana Montes Cabruja will not reach the quarter-finals of the Dubai P1The Franco-Spanish pair were dominated in two sets by Marina Guinart and Veronica Virseda, victorious 6/3 6/1.

The harsh scoreline, however, should not overshadow the strong first round achieved by Collombon and the young Spanish player. In their opening match, they secured a solid three-set victory against Ksenia Sharifova / Marina Lobo (7/5 2/6 6/4), confirming an encouraging first association.

As usual, Alix Collombon was the last French representative still in contention in the women's draw. For their part, Léa Godallier and Giorgia Marchetti failed to pull off an upset yesterday in the first round against the No. 6 seed, Alejandra Alonso / Claudia Jensenwho won 6/4 6/4.

Dubai P1 now continues without any French players, while the favorites continue their journey towards the final stages.
