Logic was respected this Saturday during the 2025 European Championships women's finalWith the 2-0 victory for Spain facing a valiant French team, who never stopped believing in it. Faced with the collective Spanish power composed only of world top players, the Blues held their own but had to bow out with honors.
Touly and Ginier are tough, but dominated
In the first match, Carla Touly and Jessica Ginier delivered a very good first set salary. Lucía Sainz and Martina CalvoThe French delivered a very serious first set but gave in on a few details. The Spanish, solid on their service games, maintained their lead to win 6/3 before roll out 6/0 in the second set.

Collombon and Godallier bow with weapons in hand
The second match was between Alix Collombon and Léa Godallier, reigning French champions, in pairs Lorena Rufo / Jessica Castelló. Despite a good resistance and good intentions, the French women were dominated in key moments. In the second set, they had a break lead before being immediately caught. Collombon and Godallier even got a break point in the last game, but the Spanish, led by a Castelló very inspired, concluded 6/2 6/3, sealing the Spanish triumph.

A silver medal full of promise
If Spain confirms its supremacy on the continent, the France leaves with a beautiful silver medal, rewarding an exemplary performance. The players of the French team have finished first in their group, notably thanks to a big victory against Italy, before dominate Belgium in the semi-final.
This second place confirms the progress of French women's padel, now second best European nation, and suggests a promising future for the French generation.
Italy completes the European podium
Behind Spain and France, Italy won the bronze medal dominating the Belgium 2-0 in the third-place finish. Solid and diligent, the Italians quickly took the upper hand in both matches, leaving little space for their opponents. A clear victory which allows them to get on the podium of these 2025 European Championships and to confirm their status as strong nation of European women's padel, just behind the two finalists.
I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
