They had been one of the beautiful stories of the first edition.  Victor Choppe and Jérôme Inzerillo  will be partners again for the  FIP Bronze Marnes-la-Coquette , scheduled from  August 31 to September 05 , with the desire to reproduce, or even surpass, their quarter-final achievement from a few months earlier.

From lucky losers to quarter-finalists

In the first edition, their adventure had almost ended in the qualifying rounds. Defeated before reaching the main draw,  Choppe and Inzerillo had ultimately been drafted as lucky losers. .

A second chance that they had seized perfectly.

From the very first round of the main draw, the two Frenchmen had signed a  victory reference  by taking down the 6th seed,  Sergi Guimet Bigas / Joao Maria Caiano , two players who are regulars on the international circuit.

Their journey didn't end there. Buoyed by this victory, they continued their journey all the way to...  quarter-finals , before finally giving in to the  seeded 3 .

For Victor Choppe, who was only competing at that point in his  second FIP tournament This result was quite simply the best international performance of his young career.

Choppe continued his momentum this summer

Since then, the two players' paths have diverged.

 Victor Choppe  has been active on the French circuit this summer. The Parisian notably achieved  two second places in P1000 confirming the progress already seen in Marnes.

This career path is a continuation of the work he has done in recent months. Now settled in the  French Top 100 Choppe no longer hides his next objective: to quickly get closer to  Top 50 .

For its part,  Jerome Inzerillo  He has been less visible in recent weeks. The former French number 5 remains, however, an experienced partner, capable of contributing significantly to this pair in this type of tournament.

How to do even better at home?

A few months after their quarter-final,  Choppe and Inzerillo are therefore back at Marnes-la-Coquette .

For Victor Choppe, the event will once again have a special flavor as he will be playing on courts he knows perfectly, in the club where he took his first steps in padel.

The first time, the two Frenchmen entered the draw through the back door before becoming one of the tournament's surprises. This time, they will inevitably be  more expected .

After reaching the quarter-finals in the first edition, the objective will now be clear:  try to go even further  during this second FIP Bronze in Marnes.
