Valenzuela / Piltcher, the crazy journey

It is  good performance of the day .  Daiara Valenzuela  et  Raquel Piltcher  sign a new  benchmark victory  dominating  Gomez Rivas / López Moral   6 / 4 6 / 1 A clear, controlled victory against  two players in the world's top 70 , while they point to  83rd and 97th places  of the rank.

And this isn't an isolated incident. Since the beginning of the week, the pair have been on a roll:

  •  First round  : huge blow with the elimination of the  TS8   Alix Collombon / Jana Montes
  •  eighth  : confirmation against a team that came through the qualifiers
  •  quartz  : new benchmark match, authoritative

It's simply  their best tournament ever .

Certainly the  withdrawal of the second seed  Just before the tournament, the bottom half of the draw was opened up and access to the semi-finals became easier.  nothing detracts from their performance , given how high the level has been since day one.

And now, why not even more?

En  semi final Valenzuela and Piltcher will face off  Lucía Sainz / Raquel Eugenio  ou  Lucía Martínez / Águeda Pérez Ortiz .

On paper, they will not yet  not favorites But given their dynamics,  They have already proven that they will be a force to be reckoned with. In Marseille,  the tournament's revelation lives up to their names .

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
