Le paddle is experiencing spectacular growth in the department of Vaucluse, as confirmed Patrice Bèche, president of the Commission Padel 84, also involved in TFP Padel et JAP2.
A promising state of affairs
Vaucluse today has 16 clubs and entities proposing in total 46 padel courtsincluding 13 indoors et 33 outdoors.
And the progression doesn't stop there: 20 new tracks are already in the planning stage or under construction — 14 indoor et 6 exterior —, proof of a growing enthusiasm for this sport in Provence.
The department now has nearly 1400 padel licensees, a figure that has been steadily increasing for three years.
The most dynamic clubs
Some clubs stand out for their attractiveness and the number of members:
- Provence Padel : 386 licensees
- ASPTT Carpentras : 178 licensees
- Orange Snowshoes : 120 licensees
- TC Carpentras : 101 licensees
The practice of padel in Vaucluse is still predominantly outdoor, driven by favorable climatic conditions for most of the year.
The arrival of new private structures
The first half of 2025 saw a strong increase in the opening of private structures, often on the immediate outskirts of the department.
Clubs such as Hangar in Rochefort-du-Gard (30), 45 Club in Châteaurenard (13) or Ze Padel in Boulbon (13) now offer modern infrastructures, combining indoor and outdoor areas :
- Hangar : 4 indoor tracks + 2 outdoor which will also host a very nice P1000.
- 45 Club : 4 indoor tracks + 3 outdoor tracks
- Ze Padel : 4 indoor tracks + 2 outdoor tracks
These complexes contribute to regional dynamics and expand the playing possibilities for Vaucluse players, particularly during the winter period.
A marked development of the game and competition
The department's clubs are also investing in the development of their padel schools, training young people and adults in competitive practice.
Since the start of the school year, the number of FFT tournaments Padel literally exploded in Vaucluse, reflecting a growing demand from players for local and regional competition.
