La Monaco principaty finally has his Federation of Padel. A long and laborious work which finally bears fruit after 6 years of struggle.

It was not easy but that's it, padel has received approval from the Principality of Monaco for its Federation of Padel.

July 8, 2020 will have been a day to be noted in red on the calendar. An important date for all those who have worked for years to see the Federation of Padel. Today, aid and subsidies may be requested to build an entity as it should be ”Padel”On the rock.

A job since 2014

In 2014, the Padel Federation was launched in Monaco. In order to obtain the approval that formalizes this organization, it takes either 3 years of operation or the creation of international competitions. It was therefore in 2017 that Philippe Sassier, president, and his team of enthusiasts wrote letters to the ministry to request approval.

10 letters

Unbelievable. It took 10 letters of request for approval to finally receive acceptance. Knowing that each letter is answered within 90 days, it will have taken more than 900 days before arriving on July 8, 2020.

A first participation in the European Championships in 2019

In October 2019, Monaco presented a delegation in Rome, at the European Championships. As the Federation of Padel did not yet have its approval, it is with their own funds that the players and organizers went to the land of gladiators in order to wear the colors of the Principality high and thus show the presence and involvement of small entities.

A brighter future

Today it is a relief for the Monegasque padel players who will be able to count on an official Federation, which will be able to work properly over time, with structures, aid, and development projects for the future of the clubs, players and sport in the Principality.
