Electric atmosphere on Reunion Island for the grand finale of the P1000 Endémik Club. Opposed to the seed 2, Benoît Théard and Mickaël Grenier, the local pair Alex Pichon de Bury / Léo Perez (TS1) held its own and won 6/1 7/5.

A one-sided first set

From the start, the favorites took control of the match. Leo Perez, imperial, dictated the pace and multiplied the winning shots. Opposite, Benoît Théard appeared in difficulty, unable to respond to the imposed intensity. Result: a set dispatched 6/1, with a clear impression of superiority for the number 1 seed.

A completely crazy second set

The second set offered a very different scenario. Théard and Grenier, their pride piqued, raised their voices and took a 5-3 lead, breaking in their pockets. At that point, they even served to level at one set all. But after several huge points, they were broken, and the dynamic changed completely. Grenier, less physically fit, missed valuable opportunities, while Théard, despite an exceptional finish to the match, was unable to reverse the trend.

Perez and Pichon at the meeting

Carried by a Perez huge in hot moments and Pichon with impressive regularity, the Reunion Islanders signed 4 games in a row and concluded the match 7/5. In a boiling atmosphere, they confirmed their status as favorites and offered the public a prestigious victory at home.

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
