A new padel club is about to open in the Montpellier metropolitan area. In Lattes, Padel La Calade will open its doors in mid-October 2026 with eight panoramic slopes installed on a 10,000 m² site. A unique feature of the project: the complex is located at Palou, a former tennis site that has been abandoned for several years.

A former sports site in Lattes is coming back to life

Padel continues to gain ground around  Montpellier This time, let's head towards...  Lattes where three childhood friends decided to breathe new life into a place well known to the inhabitants of the town.

Situated  Calade Alley The Palou was a popular tennis venue for many years before being abandoned for several years. Two of the three project leaders are from Lattes and were already very familiar with the area.

When the opportunity to take over the site arose, the choice quickly became obvious.

After almost  two years of work The former sports venue will become  Padel The Calade , with an opening announced for the  mid-October 2026 .

8 panoramic ski runs on a 10,000 m² site

The future complex will extend over  10 000 m²  and will have, from its opening,  eight panoramic padel courts .

The grounds will be equipped with  lawn MONDO while the installations will be carried out by  Sports Floor .

But one of the distinctive features of Padel La Calade should primarily reside in its environment. The complex is situated on a  wooded and green site , with trails laid out amidst the pine trees and other trees.

This setting is quite different from that of the indoor complexes that are currently multiplying in France and which the founders wish to preserve in the development of the project.

The club notably announces its intention to limit its impact on the environment as much as possible and to preserve the natural identity of Palou.

A padel club also designed as a living space

While the project displays a premium ambition regarding infrastructure, the founders also want to maintain an accessible and friendly atmosphere.

The idea is to develop a real [development/activity] around the tracks.  place of life , with a "guinguette" inspiration.

The future  club house  will include a bar, a food service offering tapas and platters, as well as a  pro shop Spaces will also be provided to accommodate  After-work drinks, parties, events and private bookings .

The goal is therefore to go beyond the simple model of renting ski slopes.

"We want to create a place where people feel good: to come with friends and family, have a drink, share a moment and, above all, have fun."

Beginners, competitors, businesses: a club open to different audiences

Padel The Calade  wishes to welcome beginners, regular practitioners and competitors alike.

The club will be  open seven days a week , with bookings managed via  Do In Sport .

The sports offering must then be gradually supplemented by  padel lessons, courses and events .

Businesses are also among the target audiences thanks to the possibilities of privatization and the organization of professional events.

The club is also currently looking for a  sporting director and a coach , as well as sponsors and partners to support its launch.

An opening is planned for mid-October 2026

The final touches are currently being made and the opening of  Padel La Calade is scheduled for mid-October 2026 .

The final date, as well as prices and booking details, have yet to be announced.  introductory offer  is also planned, while an official inauguration will accompany the opening of the complex.

With  Eight panoramic slopes, 10,000 m² of land and a wooded environment on the outskirts of Montpellier , Padel La Calade wants to differentiate itself as much through its infrastructure as through the experience offered around the game.

A new address to watch in the Montpellier metropolitan area where the padel scene continues to grow.
