The qualifications of the  Riyadh Premier Padel P1  have delivered their verdict for the French teams still in contention. The results are mixed but overall encouraging for our Blues.

Blanqué/Guichard, an encouraging defeat

Bastien Blanqué and Dylan Guichard came very close to a major upset. Facing the second seeds in qualifying, Marc Quílez and Federico Mourino, the Frenchmen played a very solid match before losing 3/6 6/3 6/4.

The start of the match was ideal for Blanqué and Guichard, who won the first set by imposing their rhythm and intensity. But their opponents, two players from the  world top 80 They clearly gain momentum in the second half.

In the third set, a break proved decisive, and despite a real battle to the very end, the French pair couldn't recover. The disappointment was palpable, but the performance remained very encouraging: challenging and making a pair of this caliber doubt themselves confirms the level shown by Blanqué and Guichard at the start of this season.

NB: Blanqué / Guichard will ultimately be lucky losers and will play in the main draw.

Godallier / Marchetti: solid and skilled

The good news comes from the women's draw. Léa Godallier and the Italian Giorgia Marchetti perfectly navigated their decisive match against Noemí Aguilar and Sandra Bellver. A clear 6-2, 6-2 victory in 1 hour and 13 minutes, at the end of a match controlled from start to finish.

The French and Italian players confirmed their excellent start to the tournament. Throughout the qualifying rounds, they only conceded one point.  four games .

Thanks to this success, Godallier and Marchetti secured their place in the  final table  from Riyadh P1, with a lot of confidence and without having left too much energy along the way.

A great opportunity to seize

In the main draw, the draw could be favorable for them, with the possibility of facing local wild cards. A real opportunity to consider qualifying for the round of 16 in this first major tournament. Premier Padel of the season.

Even if the road ends here for Blanqué and Guichard, the momentum remains positive. And for Godallier and Marchetti, the adventure continues, with a real chance to shine in Riyadh.
