On world number 2 Ariana Sánchez et Paula Josemaría left no chance Alejandra Salazar et Martina Calvo in the semifinals of Rotterdam P1, winning 6/3 6/2 in a match controlled from start to finish.

The Spanish women delivered a match very solid, without any real lull, with a constant rhythm and an almost perfect defense. Paula Josemaría, ultra-aggressive in the offensive sector, multiplied the winning shots, while Ari Sánchez perfectly directed the game in the diagonal, imposing his tactical control.

Opposite, Salazar and Calvo never managed to find the fault. Martina Calvo, despite their impressive maturity at only 17 years old, was unable to reverse the trend against the experience and consistency of the world number 2 duo.

This victory confirms the return to form of the Sánchez / Josemaría tandem, finalist last week at the Germany P2, and now back in the final of a P1 for the first time since Buenos Aires.

They will meet again this Sunday world number 1, Gemma Triay et Delfi Brea, for a new clash at the summitAn expected clash between the two best pairs in the world.

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
