The market for pairs is starting to get active on the circuit Premier PadelJust a few hours after the announcement of his separation from  Gonzalo Alfonso ,  Sanyo Gutiérrez  has already found her next partner.

According to the Spanish newspaper  SPORTS The Argentinian is now expected to partner with  Victor Ruiz , a 36-year-old Spanish player from Cartagena. While the agreement has not yet been officially announced, this partnership currently seems the most likely scenario for the remainder of the season.

A quick separation from Gonzalo Alfonso

The collaboration between Sanyo and Gonzalo Alfonso ultimately lasted just over six months. A difficult start to the season hastened the decision to part ways.

After the tournaments of  Riyadh  et  Gijón Where the pair were eliminated in the first round, Sanyo did not hide his disappointment. On social media, the former world number 1 acknowledged the pair's difficulties:

"I think we are very, very far from the level we are playing at today and from what we need to be competitive."

For his part, Alfonso confirmed the end of their joint venture in a message posted on Instagram:

"Those were several months of learning and enjoyment by your side, magician. Riyadh and Gijón were a hard blow that made us realize it was best to go our separate ways."

The Argentinian also wanted to acknowledge the human aspect of this collaboration:

"I'm leaving with a friend. I admire you enormously and you've made me more professional during these months."

A veterans' association to bounce back

If the association is confirmed,  Sanyo Gutiérrez  et  Victor Ruiz  They would form an experienced pair on the circuit. The Argentinian currently occupies the  29th place in the world , while Spanish is  34th in the standings .

The objective would be clear: to regain competitiveness and aim for a place among the  16 best pairs on the circuit , a status that allows one to approach tournaments with a more favorable draw.

At this stage of the season, changes in partnerships remain rare. Most pairs are still adapting, and established teams are hesitant to part ways so early. This new partnership could therefore be one of the first significant moves of the 2026 transfer window.

The new partnership with Víctor Ruiz is therefore not expected to begin before the  Major of Doha , expected from  6 to 11 April , if the geopolitical situation allows the tournament to take place.

In the event of cancellation, their debut could take place at  New Giza in Egypt , another stage of the calendar whose organization remains uncertain.

In the most recent scenario, the new pair's first appearance could finally take place at  Brussels P2 , scheduled from  20 to 26 April which would give them a few extra weeks to prepare for this new collaboration.
