Play by day. Shine by night.
With this bold slogan, STAR presents itself not as a simple padel tournament, but as a hybrid concept which combines sporting competition, a premium atmosphere and an elegant evening.
A clear vision: padel, the modern country-club version
From the very first pages of the STAR brochure, the ambition is stated:
reinventing padel making it sporty, elegant and accessible.
The founding idea is simple: to create an event where people play, perform, laugh, and meet… before extending the experience in a controlled, festive atmosphere. Inspired by the “country club” world, STAR envisions a seamless afternoon that naturally transforms into a chic evening, without any breaks.
The concept is based on a strong promise:
a sporting event that becomes a festive occasion, without ever losing quality or class .
The project was initiated by two students from EDHEC.
STAR was born from the initiative of Louis Barbato and Oscar Tillac , two EDHEC students passionate about entrepreneurship, sport and event management. STAR brochure.
The conclusion is simple:
- padel tournaments are often friendly, but rarely elegant;
- elegant evenings where sport generally has no place.
Their answer: to merge these two universes.
Thanks to their experience in hosting and organizing events, they wish to offer days combining Professionalism, fluidity, sporting excellence and aesthetics .

A strong and instantly recognizable signature
STAR claims a distinctive art direction .
The day is designed as a immersive journey :
- Dynamic and supervised sports programming
- A carefully crafted soundscape (melodic house during the day, gradually building towards the evening)
- Continuous energy, from the first service to the last glass
STAR emphasizes one central point: control.
Each event is rigorously structured and adaptable depending on the venue.
Tournament side:
- Smooth management of matches, rotations and waiting times
- Clear support for the teams
- Ongoing coordination with the host club
Regarding safety:
- Rules of conduct and sportsmanship explained upon arrival
- Raising awareness of responsible consumption
- Respect for others and the place
The evening is also strictly controlled:
- Sound level appropriate for the club's environment
- Constant communication to preserve the peace and quiet of the neighborhood
- Gradual decrease in volume before closing
- Structured flow management (track, bar, relaxation areas)
The guideline is clear:
The party is fine, but never at the expense of respecting the place.
Beyond sport: a networking circle
STAR aims to become a modern networking circle .
The project goes beyond the tournament to incorporate formats that encourage interaction:
- External stakeholders
- Mini speed-networking
- Short workshops
- Guided exchanges
The concept is based on a strong idea:
The match creates tension, the evening creates the network.
The goal is to connect participants naturally, from a different perspective, by blending athletic performance and human interaction.
A deliberately hybrid concept
In conclusion, STAR defines itself as a hybrid concept:
- An elegant vision of sport and celebration
- Precise organization
- Controlled atmosphere
- Strong and consistent identity
This is a moment that begins in broad daylight on the field and ends under the spotlights, in the light of the night. STAR plaque.
