La French number 1, 25th in the world, will be present at the French Championships this September alongside Léa Godallier to defend their title. But in an interview given to Padel Magazine, Alix Collombon hinted that this edition could be his last participation.

Defend the title with Léa Godallier
For these French Championships, Alix Collombon will once again be associated with Léa Godallier the French numbers 1 and 2, already sacred on several occasions, are preparing to defend their crown :
« We're going there to win, obviously, to retain our title. »
But behind this determination, Alix recognizes that participation is becoming increasingly heavy to manage, taking into account a busy international calendar :
"Each time, it's during a period where we have a lot of tournaments. Now, we're going to play seven weeks in a row, it's very complicated."
Fatigue and injuries weigh in the balance
La Lyonnaise don't avoid the Sacrifices granted in recent years to honor the national tournament. She recalls the risks taken, sometimes to the detriment of their health needs :
"Last year, Léa sprained her ankle in the French final and was out for a month and a half. I played with an infiltrated wrist until the end of the year."
À 32 years, Alix assumes duty think differently :
"Even though I'm physically very fit and everyone sees me as a machine, I'm still 32 years old, and I need to start thinking about my health."
An edition that could mark a turning point
Alix Collombon will be present at Mulhouse to aim for a new one sacred with Lea. But she insists: thefuture remains uncertain.
"This year, we'll be there. But next year, it will be a real issue, I'm announcing it today."
