It is one of the most attractive municipal clubs in the Bouches-du-Rhône department. Gémenos Tennis ClubWith consistent growth over more than forty years, it continues to expand its sports offering and structure its activities to meet the strong demand for tennis and padel.
A club built for the long term
Created in 1980The club is experiencing a major turning point in November 2000 with its relocation to a peri-urban area. A strategic choice that allows for the construction of a modern complex:
- 10 tennisincluding 3 seats,
- 1 squash court,
- un club house with integrated restaurant The Advantage.
This new facility is quickly becoming a growth driver to accommodate more participants and strengthen local sporting life.
Padel as an engine of expansion
The club opened up to padel as early as 2018 with the construction of first two tracksbefore a new direction in 2025 : three additional tracks These additions complete the offering, bringing the total to five fields.
The TC Gémenos has today 820 licensees, distributed between 420 tennis players et 400 padel playersThis latter figure has been deliberately capped in order to ensure optimal operation of the facilities, activities and competitions.
Obviously, we mustn't forget Marina Ponzio, the former padel manager who also enabled padel to develop at the club.
A solid sports structure
The management team is a qualified group composed of:
- 3 TFP teachers Padel,
- 5 BE Tennis Instructors.
The club also benefits from a strong sporting dynamic:
- The first tennis team has been promoted to National 1 in 2025,
- Team 2 now plays in the pre-national league..
Training is not to be outdone. One padel school was launched under the leadership of Tristan Barrealready followed by 40 young people registeredIt is organized around two poles: competition et leisure, with a progressive structuring to respond to the development of padel among new generations.

A unique educational partnership
The club has established a partnership with the Saint-Jean de Garguier High Schoolproposing:
- an tennis option,
- an multi-racket option including tennis and padel in the second year of high school,
- an padel option in first place.
This collaboration offers a unique school-sports framework in the region and contributes to the creation of a local pool of motivated young players.
A rich community life and events
The TC Gémenos keeps its website active throughout the year with:
- 4 tournaments per month,
- many animations,
- the coming ofrecognized speakers (Julien Bondia, Jérôme Schaeffer…),
- a solid network of approximately 30 local partners.
With its modernized infrastructure, the rise of padel, a strengthened technical structure and a sustained animation policy, the Tennis Club of Gémenos has established itself today as a sporting reference in the Bouches-du-Rhône.
