The new American padel circuit, the APT, would it be a new source of income for padel players? In any case, this is the desire of Fabrice Pastor, president of the APT.

The American Padel Tour is a new professional padel circuit. This weekend the first stage ended in Mexico, in Merida.

The pair Stefano Flores and Julio Julianoti won and became the first pair in APT history. For the occasion, they left with a check for 83 Mexican pesos, the equivalent of €600. A significant amount in padel, even more so for players from Latin America.

These players that we don't necessarily know show an exceptional level.

The question we can ask ourselves: Will this type of prize not attract South American players playing the qualifications of the WPT in the long term?

The future will tell. But one thing is certain, it is that the endowments should not be reduced.

Fabrice Pastor, President of the American Padel Association had announced it; “the goal of these competitions is that players can earn a living". At first glance, this is a good start.
