The Round of 16 of the 2026 French Championships kept all their promises in Agen. If Bastien Blanque / Thomas Leygue et Yoan Boronad / Jérémy Robert Some rolled it out, others had to fight to the very end. Damien Bayard / Pierre Vincent have once again shown why they are so difficult to beat on the French circuit, while Clara Mansart / Marie-Amélie Dardaine secured their qualification after a completely crazy match.
Blanqué/Leygue let absolutely nothing through
It's been since Bastien Blanqué and Thomas Leygue have not lost a match together in the French Championships since 2021. And given their performance in Agen, the streak could well continue.
The two former French number 1s, three-time French champions together , delivered a true demonstration against Thomas Seux / Nathan Courrin . A victory 6 / 2 6 / 1 , without really letting their opponents into the game.
Seux and Courrin arrived with confidence and were coming off strong performances on the international circuit. But on Friday, their opponents were simply too strong.
For their part, Blanqué and Leygue continue to gain momentum as the tournament progresses. More than ever among the favorites to win the title, they seem to have switched into French Championship mode.
Boronad / Robert expeditious
The same price, or almost, for Yoan Boronad / Jérémy Robert The two young Frenchmen gave no chance to Tom Couturier / Arthur Dumoulin swept away 6 / 0 6 / 1 .
A quick performance that confirms the pair's ambitions in these French Championships. Boronad and Robert will also be present in the quarter-finals.

A Blanqué / Leygue – Boronad / Robert who smells of gunpowder
And so here is one of the most anticipated quarter-finals of these French Championships: Bastien Blanqué / Thomas Leygue versus Yoan Boronad / Jérémy Robert .
A match that could easily have been a final. On one side, the three-time French champions On the other side, two of the greatest hopes of French padel, who arrive on a roll and who left only crumbs for their opponents in the round of 2021.
On paper, it's hard to get much more appealing. Perhaps even the match of the year on the French circuit with four players from the French national team, capable of producing an exceptional level.
See you tomorrow for a quarter-final that promises to be explosive.
Bayard / Vincent still at the end of the fight
It was one of the big matches of these round of 16 and it largely lived up to expectations. Damien Bayard / Pierre Vincent had to draw on their resources to overcome Jules Marie / Jérôme Inzerillo : 4/6 7/5 6/3 .
A very high-level match, in which Marie and Inzerillo long believed they could defeat one of the most feared pairs on the French circuit.
But beating Bayard and Vincent in France is never easy. The Saint-Étienne and Lyon players once again displayed tremendous character to turn around a match that had started poorly, before finally making the difference in the third set.
La seeded 8 It therefore continues its journey and will meet again in the quarter-finals reigning French champions Dylan Guichard / Manuel Vives , killers of Adrien Maigret / Benjamin Tison in eighth grade.
A quarter-final that shows great promise.

Mansart vs. Dardaine after a completely crazy match
In the women's race, it's hard to find a much more unpredictable duel than the one between... Clara Mansart / Marie-Amélie Dardaine et Fiona Ligi / Charlotte Soubrié .
Ligi and Soubrié take the lead by winning the first round 6/3 But Mansart and Dardaine refused to give up. They managed to completely revive the match before a nail-biting third set.
In the decisive tie-break Clara Mansart and Marie-Amélie Dardaine will even have to saving match points before finally overturning their opponents and securing their ticket to the quarter-finals.

A monumental battle between four players who displayed a level worthy of the very best in France. In this match, both pairs could clearly have secured qualification.
But these are indeed Mansart / Dardaine who continue the adventure in Agen, at the end of one of the craziest matches of the day.
