In the women's category, France has everything swept away.
The French players are dropping out 4 gold medals me on 4 of the 5 categories feminine:

  • En + 35 years, Charlotte Soubrié et Melissa Martin win 6/2 6/2 against the Dutch Van Der Willige Von Schmidt Auf / Blonk.
  • En + 40 years, Marie Lefevre et Julie Pecastaing win a hard-fought final against the Belgians Elke Clijsters / Leonie Geukens (3/6 6/3 6/4).
  • En + 45 years, Amelie Detriviere et Catherine Lalanne (ts1) beat the Swedes Emma Pettersson / Ingela Pihl 6 / 2 6 / 1.
  • In +50 years, Céline Verdier / Alexandra Fouquet win the bronze medal.
  • En + 55 years, Nathalie Mancion et Catherine Bignotti (ts1) crush Birgitta Bengtson / Monica Lundqvist 6 / 1 6 / 3.

Men are not left out, with two European titles additional:

  • En + 35 years, Adrien Maigret et Maxime Forcin (ts3) win 6/2 6/3 against the Danes Laudrup / Møller.
  • En + 40 years, Norman Sanchez et Morgan Mannarino (ts1) confirm their status as favorites by beating the Italians Capitani / Fanti 7 / 6 6 / 2.

Six gold medals in total for the Blues, a superb result for our French team in the pairs competition.

In addition to these pair performances, France also won two silver medals in team competition:
