La Pro Padel League (PPL) unveiled its calendar 2026confirming a new stage in the expansion of team padel… but also an increasingly marked reality: an increasingly saturated global calendar.

A 2026 calendar focused on America

For next season, the PPL will offer five events, distributed between the United States and Mexico, with one major new feature: the arrival of Los Angeles in the circuit. A first that symbolizes the league's clear desire to establish itself in new strategic markets in North America.

The schedule is as follows:

  • New York July 9–12
  • Los Angeles August 13–16 (historic premiere)
  • Playa del Carmen September 24–27
  • Guadalajara November 19–22
  • Miami – City's Cup Finals December 3–6

Another notable element: no stages in Spain in 2026, whereas the league had stopped in San Sebastián in 2025. A deliberate choice that confirms the PPL's priority orientation towards the American continent.

A team league that is becoming a permanent fixture

With four of the five tournaments held in cities where franchises already exist, the PPL is showing that it's no longer just experimenting. The project is gaining momentum. stability, a readability and attractiveness, for both players and investors.

Miami, which will host the Finals, is establishing itself a little more as the capital of North American padel, in line with what the Reserve Cup or other premium events already offer.

One more headache in an already full schedule

The announcement of the proposed law comes in a very specific context. In 2026, the professional calendar is almost filled from January to December.

  • Premier Padel structure the main season, from February to the Barcelona Finals.
  • Reserve Cup kicks off the year in January.
  • Hexagon World Series, now recognized by the FIP, adds four additional dates to the year.
  • And now, the PPL concentrates its events between July and December.

As a result, truly free weeks are becoming rare. Players have to make choices, both in terms of physical that logisticsVery few will be able to continue. Premier Padel, PPL, Hexagon and other team competitions without losing any feathers.

Less rest, more strategy

On paper, some windows of opportunity for rest still exist. In reality, they are often absorbed by the intercontinental travel, adapting to jet lag, exhibitions, marketing commitments or training camps.

The 2026 bill therefore confirms two strong trends:

  • le growing success of team padelparticularly in America
  • and ever-increasing pressure on the playersforced to manage an extremely dense schedule

The development is spectacular, but the question of the balance between growth and recovery is becoming, more than ever, central to professional padel.

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
