Hard blow for the  Reserve Cup Marbella A few days before the launch of the event, organized from  June 18-20 at the Puente Romano Beach Resort ,  Delfi Brea  announced his withdrawal.

However, this was a special edition for Argentina. For the first time in its history, the Reserve Cup also hosted a  female painting and the world number 1 was among the players chosen to inaugurate this new stage of the competition.

The organization announced on Tuesday that the player would ultimately be unable to participate due to "unforeseen circumstances".

For her part, Delfi Brea wanted to send a message to the organizers and fans on her social media:

"Unfortunately, I won't be able to attend. I wish them all the best and thank them for their affection and for thinking of me from the beginning."

Argentina's absence is undoubtedly a blow to the event, which was counting on one of the major figures in women's padel worldwide to launch this first women's edition.

To replace her, the organization called upon the Portuguese woman  Sofia Araújo who will notably join  Alejandra Salazar ,  Alejandra Alonso ,  Lara Arruabarrena ,  Tamara Icardo  et  Nuria Rodríguez .

After an intense week at  Valence P1 , which concluded with a semi-final for the pair  Gemma Triay / Delfi Brea The world number 1 is therefore forced to cancel this exhibition match in Spain.
