La Línea de la Concepción, in Andalusia, becomes the capital of European padel this week. Eight men's and eight women's teams will compete there to win the continental title when FIP Euro Final 8 Padel Cup. After two first phases played this summer, the competition is now entering its last act, with the first matches scheduled this Tuesday, October 21.

Men: Spain in charge, France against Italy

In the men's competition, the draw resulted in a tough Group A, obviously dominated by spain, defending champion and still as formidable under the leadership of Juanjo GutiérrezThe Spanish will find the Portugal the Deus brothers, bronze medalists last year, as well as Great Britain et Sweden, both from the qualifying phase.

In the group B, Italy, vice-champion of Europe 2024 in Cagliari, will have to deal with France, Netherlands et GermanyA more homogeneous group where the France vs Italy match will count double.

Male groups:

  • Group A: Spain, Portugal, Great Britain, Sweden
  • Group B: Italy, France, Netherlands, Germany

Women: Spain-Italy, the anticipated duel

On the women's side, the scenario seems to be repeating itself. Spain, led by Icíar Montes, remains the nation to beat. It shares the group A with the Portugal, Belgium and Netherlands, all qualified during the previous phase.

In the group B, Italy (finalist in 2024) will cross paths with France, Germany et Great Britain.

  • Group B: Italy, France, Germany, Great Britain

The format

For this final phase, each duel between nations will be played best of three matches, each match being played in two winning setsOn the first day, the first team of each group will face the third, while the second will face the fourth.

On semi-finals are planned for Friday 24 October, before the end et third place matches, scheduled on samedi 25 octobre.
