This Wednesday marked the main draw launch du FIP Platinum Lyon, with several French pairs competing on the slopes of the Sports Palace and All In Country ClubWhile some started their tournament perfectly, others suffered at the hands of much more experienced pairs.
Bahurel and Pothier roll out on the central
The day started in the best possible way for Louise Bahurel and Lucile Pothier, who flew through their entry into the competition. Opposed to River / Vichier, the French women delivered a solid match from start to finish, winning 6 / 0 6 / 1 on center court. A quick success that allows them to reach the second round with full confidence where they will play the winner of J. Ginier Barbier / A. Collombon vs A. Osoro Ulrich / V. Iglesias Segador (TS4).
Severe defeats for the other French pairs
The other French women had a more complicated fate. Camille Sireix and Melissa Martin lost heavily to the number 8 seed, Nuria Rodríguez Camacho / Giulia Dal Pozzo, on the undisputed score of 6 / 2 6 / 2.
Same scenario for Steffi Merah and Marie-Amélie Dardaine, beaten 6 / 2 6 / 1 by Hechenberger / Pujals PérezThe two players, who had gone through the qualifications, were unable to find the key against a very solid pair.
At men's, Harold Bernard and his partner Marcos Suárez González, drafted as lucky losers, could do nothing against Pol Hernandez Alvarez and Guillermo Collado Losada, bowing 6 / 1 6 / 1.

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
