Facing the 4th seed Aranza Osoro / Victoria Iglesias, French women Lucile Pothier and Louise Bahurel could not do anything. Defeats 6 / 0 6 / 1 In 37 minutes, they suffered the power and precision of the Spanish-Argentine duo.
Imperial Iglesias, Surgical Osoro
Very aggressive, Victoria Iglesias took multiple initiatives, systematically entering the court to conclude points quickly. The Spaniard stifled Bahurel on her diagonal, chaining together winning points (34 in total for her team against 15 for the French). Her duo with Osoro imposed its rhythm from the first game.
Too many mistakes for the French women
Lucile Pothier and Louise Bahurel struggled to find their bearings in the face of such intensity. The French team committed 14 unforced errors against only 8 for their opponents, as well as 5 return faults, symbols of the constant pressure exerted by Osoro and Iglesias. Pothier, in particular, was unable to free himself in the exchange.

A valuable learning experience
Despite this logical defeat against a pair of world top 20, the French women come out of this match with valuable experience. Their round of 16 brings them 25 FIP points.
Three French pairs still in the running

French hopes now rest on these three pairs to extend the fine blue dynamic in Lyon.
I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
