The FIP Silver Champ Fleuri begins this Friday on the Réunion Island slopes, and the first matches of the men's main draw have already delivered their verdict. While several French pairs suffered the law of the seeded teams, others came out with authority, promising a 100% blue round of 16 this Saturday.
Guiraud / Delahaye and Marcille / Sarrat come up against much stronger ones
No miracle for Pierre Guiraud et Thomas Delahaye, logically beaten by the number 2 seed, Facundo Domínguez et Mario Huete Hernández, on the undisputed score of 6 / 0 6 / 1.
The French, despite a great attitude and the support of the Reunion public, were unable to do anything against a pair of a completely different calibre, accustomed to the very highest international level.
Same scenario for Hugo Marcille et Titouan Sarrat, dominated 6 / 0 6 / 1 by the formidable Gustavo Nunes et José Solano Marmolejo (4th seed). A one-sided match, where the opponents imposed their rhythm from the start.
Intense French duels at Champ Fleuri
In 100% French confrontations, Bilal Duprat et Guillaume Ledrap imposed themselves in pain face Baptiste Master et Silvain Moreau, on the close score of 7 / 6 7 / 5A mental victory for Duprat and Ledrap, who were able to remain solid in the heated moments.
Another Franco-French clash: Kamel Mouimen et Lilian Foure imposed themselves 6/4 2/6 6/3 face Christopher Verdura et Tom BiottiA very contested match, which turned to the advantage of the Mouimen/Fouré duo in the deciding set.
Simon Iafare et Joan Fede did not tremble, dominating the British Vincent and Jules Bakunowicz 6 / 0 6 / 2, a clear victory which allows them to continue their journey in the main draw.
Lozano / Perez Le Tiec as boss, Raichman / Muesser solid
The good news of the day came from the French camp with the authoritative qualification of Pierre Perez Le Tiec et Damien Lozano, winners of Julien Guillery et Louis Bastard (6 / 1 6 / 0). A clear and flawless victory for a pair accustomed to playing together and who managed their entry into the tournament perfectly.
For their part, the seeded 6 Philemon Raichman et Yanis Muesser also held its own, winning 6 / 2 6 / 0 facing the “Padel globetrotters” Yohan Borgel et Samy CharniA success controlled from start to finish.
An eighth 100% French to come
These two victories open the way to a 100% French duel in eighth finals, between Perez Le Tiec / Lozano et Raichman / Muesser.
A promising clash between two of the best French pairs, with the key to a place in the quarter-finals guarantee for France.
I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
