Léa Godallier  et  Daiara Valenzuela  continue their superb momentum. The French and Argentinian teams won the  FIP Silver Porto  dominating  Ana Catarina Nogueira  et  Camila Fassio  at the end of a very hard-fought final:  7 / 6 7 / 6 .

This is already their  third FIP Silver title together , after their successes at  Narbonne And then  Alcalá de Guadaira A series that confirms the full potential of this partnership.

 Two perfectly controlled tie-breaks 

Facing the Portuguese  Ana Catarina Nogueira  and the Spanish  Camila Fassio Having beaten the 1st and 3rd seeds during the week, Godallier and Valenzuela had to stay strong until the end.

In conditions made tricky by the wind, they started the match perfectly and broke serve immediately. They quickly found themselves in a position to close out the first set.  5/4 , but Nogueira and Fassio manage to break back.

Godallier and Valenzuela immediately break back and serve for the set again.  6/5 Once again, their opponents come back and force the set into a tie-break.

In this decisive game, France and Argentina clearly tightened their game. Cleaner and more solid in the crucial moments, they prevailed.  7-3 .

 A set point saved in the second set 

The scenario repeats itself in the second set.

Godallier and Valenzuela quickly take the lead thanks to another break and are now in first place.  4/2 But Nogueira and Fassio don't give up and come back into the game once again.

The set was therefore decided in a second tie-break, which was much closer. The two teams traded blows, and both the Portuguese and Spanish players even had a set point.

However, they are unable to convert her. Behind,  Godallier and Valenzuela score three consecutive points.  to get the title.

 A tournament without losing a single set 

The French and Argentinian women thus conclude a perfectly controlled week in Porto.

They will not have  conceded no sets  throughout the tournament and were able to take advantage of an open draw after the elimination of the 2nd seed. But beyond the circumstances, they showed above all that they were indeed the strongest pair of this edition.

With this  third FIP Silver title in just two months Godallier and Valenzuela confirm that they are among the most formidable partnerships at the moment on the FIP circuit.
