The padel planet could well find itself facing a very complicated dilemma to resolve: which European padel championship to choose?

On the one hand, the International Federation of Padel (FIP) will offer its championship in Italy. And on the other, the European Association of Padel, will also offer a European Padel Championship in Portugal. And to top it all off, both padel events will take place on the same date from November 4 to 10.

What happened ?

Very complicated to understand this case. We remember that the FIP as the EPA seemed a partner time. The EPA has repeatedly indicated that it is workingunder the aegis of FIP“From the outside, the relationship seemed calm and interesting, because on both sides there are quality people who work hard to develop padel.

However, the European Championships Padel blew it up. And these two institutions found themselves rivals.

Today, the objective is to rally as many nations as possible to its European padel championship and if possible the main ones, starting with Spain, Portugal, France and Italy.

Except that today, these are two blocks that seem to oppose:

  • Spain and Portugal with EPA
  • and France and Italy with FIP

Can we get out?

The FIP and the EPA are two forces that have the ambition to develop padel. These two organizations have everything to do great things together. They have strengths and weaknesses. And compared to the outside, by some, that this opposition makes our sport grow.

We are certainly naive, but we want to believe that these two institutions will find an agreement to unite their strength and offer a single, great European Padel Championship 2019.
