La 4th seed Marine Fontaine / Lauren Synaeghel wins the TSB Valenciennes Women's P1000 . Opposed to Sophie Briez / Ilyana Païs Having had a remarkable career, they have established themselves 7/6 6/3 in 1h11 .
A second P1000 title this season for Marine Fontaine , already crowned with Laura Robineau, and above all a Lauren Synaeghel's first title at this level .
A very close first set
The final starts on a balanced footing, with both pairs managing to create opportunities on their opponents' service games.
Fontaine / Synaeghel must notably face a Briez / Païs pair who are confirming the confidence accumulated since the start of the tournament.
But in the crucial moments, the 4th seed manages to make the difference and snatches the first set in a tie-break: 7/6 .
Synaeghel is gaining power
As the meeting progressed, Lauren Synaeghel is taking up more and more space .
Alongside him, Fontaine brings his experience and stability to allow the pair to maintain control.
The second set then went more in favor of TS4, who won. 6/3 and concludes the final by 1:11 .
44 winning points for Fontaine / Synaeghel
The figures confirm their takeover.
Fontaine / Synaeghel finish with 44 winning points , against only 24 for Briez / Païs They also win 76 points in total against 61 .
They created more opportunities for themselves upon their return with 7 break points obtained , including 4 converted. On the other side, Briez/Païs were very efficient with their chances, with 3 breaks out of 3 opportunities but without managing to generate enough chances to reverse the trend.
Fontaine and Synaeghel, however, committed more direct errors. 37 vs. 32 , but their ability to produce many more winning shots has largely compensated for this waste.

Briez/Païs will have taken down TS1 and TS3
Despite the defeat in the final, Sophie Briez / Ilyana Païs can leave Valenciennes with a very big tournament.
They had initially caused a stir by eliminating Stéphanie Weil / Laura Robineau (TS1) in the quarter-finals.
In the semi-final, they confirmed their form with a very clear victory. 6/2 6/2 against Alicia Keppenne / Mathilde Mattei (TS3) .
Two great performances before finally falling to a stronger Fontaine / Synaeghel pair in the final.
First P1000 for Synaeghel, second for Fontaine
On paper, the pair was quite unbalanced in the rankings with Marine Fontaine, 39th French , and Lauren Synaeghel, 145th .
But Fontaine already had experience in this type of event after winning the title this season with Laura Robineau .
She therefore adds a second P1000 to his year, while Synaeghel had a top-level tournament to secure his first title in the category .
A perfectly concluded week for the 4th seed.
I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
