Le Germany Premier Padel P2 finally enters its moment of truth. The final pits the two best pairs in the world against each other: Arturo Coello / Agustín Tapia, the unbeatable number 1, facing Alejandro Galán / Federico Chingotto, the world's number 2 outsiders.

Fast semi-finals

On Saturday, the two duos made their mark. Coello and Tapia easily dismissed González / Sanz (6 / 1 6 / 3, 1h06), while Galán and Chingotto swept Nieto / Yanguas (6 / 1 6 / 2, 59 minutes).
Each of the two pairs therefore qualified as bosses, confirming once again the gulf that exists today between the two best teams in the world and the rest of the circuit.

An intriguing duel

It remains to be seen whether this finale will finally offer some suspense. So far, “Chingalán” never really managed to worry the number 1s, largely dominating during their confrontations. We particularly remember the final of the Paris Major, where the public had even started to support Galán and Chingotto in the hope of a little resistance... in vain.

The playing conditions in Germany, neither too fast nor too slow, seem favorable this time for a more balanced match. Galán and Chingotto spent only an hour on the track in the semi-final and are ideally fresh to try to play their cards right.

The numbers that speak for themselves

  • Coello / Tapia: 9 titles this season, 27 in total since their association, and a monstrous record of 35 wins in 39 semi-finals played.
  • Galán / Chingotto: 11th final in 15 tournaments this year, 4 titles already in 2025, but no victory against the number 1 since the Italy Major (June).
  • Direct confrontations: the advantage remains largely on the side of Coello / Tapia, who left only crumbs to their rivals.

The big question

Will the scenario repeat itself with another quick final in favor of the world number 1s, or Will Chingotto and Galán finally find the solutions? to disrupt the Coello / Tapia machine?
For the sake of the game and the spectacle, many are hoping for a more intense duel. The answer will be this Sunday in Düsseldorf.
