A king gives the track to his vassals. Just moments later the tribute paid by the FFT to King Belasteguin, four lords du Premier Padel entered the Philippe-Chatrier this afternoon to do battle. The poster was beautiful, but also awaited by the 13 000 spectators : Coello and Tapia (TS1), untouchable since the start of the second half of the season, were they going to suffer the law of their dolphins, Federico Chingotto and Alejandro Galan?

Surgical tapia, super powerful Coello

We were about to find out. After a first (and short) round of observation between the two pairs, Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia managed to break Ale Galan's serve at 2-1. More powerful, imperious in the transitions and very mobile, they did not lose the net and made sure that Coello took the upper hand over Fede Chingotto. At 4/1 for the TS1, Arturo Coello was already credited with 5 winning shots for only 1 unforced error.. Ale and Fede tried to press their blows: they then exposed themselves to counter-smashes. of a surgical Tapia and an overpowering Coello…which carried out the double break! The outsiders then had to face the facts: in this first round, Coello / Tapia were well and truly above: 6/2 in 31 minutes of play! With 14 winning points (against 6 for their opponents) against 7 unforced errors (10 for Chingotto / Galan), the number 1s were close to the top.

Harvest of mistakes for “Chingalan”

Would Chingalan react? The second part of this final started on the same basis. Agustin Tapia and Arturo Coello thus achieved the entry station wagon, while their opponents began to make unforced errors. Alejandro Galan was clearly not at his best: 10 unforced errors for only 7 winners. Even Chingotto was starting to fail and, as the principle of communicating vessels dictates, Coello/Tapia took off: 5/0! The points were scrolling and, with his head lower and lower, "Chingalan" took on water without being able to react. Despite a reaction on Alejandro Galan's serve, Agustin Tapia and Arturo Coello won with a resounding 6/2 6/1 score in 56 minutes of play. The end-of-match statistics were at least as clear as the score: 24 winning points to 10 for Tapia / Coello, no break point conceded… One wonders if “Chingalan” is not developing a complex in front of the kings of the season.
