Le P1000 Cap7 Padel from Marseille marks a new important milestone for Cyril Hanounawho will team up this weekend with Jerome InzerilloAn association already seen recently, with the clear ambition of regaining the last square, an objective that has become credible since the autumn.

A turning point in Cabriès

The real turning point of Cyril Hanouna's season remains the P1000 WinWin Padel Cabriès, played in October. Alongside Jerome Inzerillo, he reached there for the first time in his career, a P1000 semi-final.
A great run, especially in the quarter-finals, with a victory against Frédéric Loriedo / Benoît Mavoungou (3/6 7/6 6/3), before logically losing in the semi-final against Remy Gourre / Loïc Le Panse, future winners of the tournament.

This performance served as a true confidence boostboth mentally and in managing high-stakes matches.

Progress validated by Inzerillo

At the end of this tournament, Jerome Inzerillo looked back on this wonderful shared adventure, highlighting a net changeboth physical and mental:

"It was his first semi-final in a P1000 tournament, and he played on the right. What's changed is his physical involvement, which is much greater than before. He's been on a diet since this summer, and it's paying off."

Regular work pays off: a weekly session allows Cyril to hold his own against more powerful players.

"We're starting to develop real automatic plays. We understand each other very well, and it shows on the pitch."

More mixed results since

After Cabriès, the dynamics are more irregular.
In November, at P1000 Padel 95, Hanouna finds Inzerillo but the duo finishes 15ᵉ, in a dense table.
Last week, at P1000 Padel Break BonduesCyril bows out eighth finals, this time alongside Theo Zapata.

The results were more modest, but they do not erase the progress observed since the start of the academic year.

Marseille, fertile ground for a comeback

In Marseille, the context is changing. Cap 7 Padel welcomes his first P1000with a very high-caliber lineup. Hanouna and Inzerillo will only be there. seeded 9, far from the status they had in Cabriès (TS3).
The draw is therefore expected to be more demanding, with big matches right from the early rounds.

But the South has already smiled upon Cyril Hanouna in recent weeks, and the desire to reliving a semi-final is indeed present.

As Inzerillo summarized after Cabriès:

"In sport, anything is possible. We'll continue to work to be consistent in the final four. After that, it will all be a bonus."

In Marseille, Hanouna and Inzerillo will therefore try to transform this progress into new brilliant movewithout pressure, but with ambitions now openly acknowledged.

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
