Le international calendar continues to grow denser. The latest development: the arrival of Hexagon World Series, a team competition officially integrated into the calendar of the FIP from 2026.

The concept is clear: a World Team League, with a complete equality between men's and women's teams, conceived as a complementary product to existing circuits.

Four key dates in 2026

The 2026 season will revolve around four appointments :

  • January 28 – February 1 : Hexagon Cup (Madrid)
  • May 7-10 Location to be confirmed
  • October 22 – 25 Location to be confirmed
  • December 17 – 20 Location to be confirmed

Three stages will therefore be added to the already well-established winter Hexagon Cup, to form a a true international series.

An insertion that is far from neutral in the calendar

By observing the calendar Premier PadelIt quickly becomes clear where the problem lies.
The first stage in May will take place just before the trip to Buenos Aires, without any real breathing room for the players.

The second one, at the end of October, promises to be even more challenging. It falls within an already very busy period, with an almost continuous series of events:

  • Mediterranean Games
  • Madrid P1
  • Paris Major
  • Europe P2
  • Hexagon World Series
  • Rotterdam P2
  • Germany P2
  • Milan P1

Is eight consecutive tournaments Between the end of August and mid-October. A real test for the body.

A season that extends until the end of December

The third stage, planned from 17 at 20 decemberwill extend the season beyond the Barcelona FinalsIn practical terms, this means that Not everyone will be able to take a break after the Finals., a point that is likely to be debated, especially among the players who are most in demand throughout the year.

An ambitious project… in a tense context

In essence, the Hexagon World Series tick many boxes:

  • innovative format
  • team logic
  • mixed gender
  • Official FIP recognition

But their arrival also raises a central question: Where to draw the line between innovation and overload?
In a context where players are already denouncing the calendar densityThis new competition could accentuate strategic choices… and targeted absences.

Locations are yet to be confirmedand they will probably give a clear indication of the project's true direction.

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
