The public of the  Foro Italico  It was expected, and it will indeed take place.  Alejandro Galán  et  Juan Lebrón  will meet in the semi-finals of the  Italy Major  after winning their respective quarter-finals this Friday in Rome.

A new chapter in a rivalry that is bound to be special between the two former world number 1s, who dominated padel for four seasons before their separation.

Galán and Chingotto are gaining strength

After narrowly avoiding elimination in the round of 16 against  Gonza Alfonso  et  Javi Barahona ,  Gallant  et  Chingotto  needed reassurance.

Mission accomplished.

Facing the tournament's surprise package,  Pol Hernández  et  Guille Collado The world number 2s delivered their most accomplished match of the week.

In conditions that were still just as trying under the Roman heat, Galán regained all his effectiveness in the finishing phases while Chingotto perfectly controlled the pace of the exchanges.

Result: a clear victory  6 / 3 6 / 1  which allows them to reach the final four without expending too much energy along the way.

For Hernández and Collado, the adventure ends despite a remarkable tournament which saw them reach the quarter-finals of a Major, notably eliminating Bautista and Jofre.

Lebrón and Augsburger confirm

On the other side of the picture,  Juan Lebrón  et  Leo Augsburg  were entitled to a high-level test against  Jon sanz  et  Coki Nieto .

A clash of styles between two of the most spectacular pairs on the circuit.

On one side, the power and unpredictability of Lebrón and Augsburger. On the other, the solidity and defensive quality of Nieto and Sanz.

In a hard-fought match on the Pietrangeli slope, the Spanish-Argentine pair displayed great maturity to secure the victory.  6 / 4 7 / 6 .

Lebrón once again made his presence felt in the important moments while Augsburger used their power in the air to win key points.

A poster that reeks of gunpowder

This victory now offers the Roman public the match they were waiting for.

For the first time in a while,  Gallant  et  Lebrón  will compete for a place in the final of a Major.

Beyond the sporting aspect, the match obviously has a special dimension. The two Spaniards shared four seasons at the top of the world padel scene before a separation that continues to be a topic of discussion.

But this time, the emotional aspect will quickly take a back seat. Both teams arrive with excellent momentum and see a golden opportunity to reach the final.

In a tournament marked by heat, intensity, and increasingly hard-fought matches, all the ingredients seem to be in place for one of the great moments of this 2026 edition of the  Italy Major .
