Engaged this season alongside Alex Chozas , Tolito Aguirre chain the tournaments on Premier Padel with a clear objective: to achieve the Final Master . In an interview with Analysts Padel, the Argentinian spoke about his current association, his physical change and his ambitions. But he also did not close the door to a return with his historic partner, Gonzalo Alfonso , with whom he will play again from the Madrid P1 after the summer break.
A new adventure with Álex Chozas
Tolito had chosen Chozas, who was ranked higher than him, relying on their long-standing complicity:
“I've known him since he was 10 or 11. We've played together before and it went well. In Madrid, we worked hard with Juanma Rodríguez and we have to be grateful to him.”
A remarkable physical transformation
In recent months, Tolito has surprised people with his physical changes, to the point that a video of him has gone viral:
“I changed everything: my diet, my physical preparation, and even the team around me. I don't have any lapses, I invest myself fully. And the pillar of all this remains my wife. When we started our relationship, she told me she wanted to see me on Premier Padel. Today I have to give that back to him.”
Objective: the Master
Determined, Aguirre displays his ambitions:
“I’m sure I’ll get into the Masters. I fight for it every day.”
Installed on Premier Padel After leaving A1, he cuts short rumors of a possible return:
“I feel very good here. This is where the best play, and we want to be part of it.”
Responding to criticism
The transition from A1 to Premier was not easy, and Aguirre had to respond to criticism:
“Many people judge without knowing, and sometimes it hurts. I turn that into motivation. When people talk badly about me, the next day I train twice as hard.”
A speech that illustrates the path taken:
“I taught 12 hours a day when necessary. I saved up to travel and play. My family didn't have the means, but they helped me however they could. Everything I have is thanks to that sacrifice.”
Actuellement 29rd player in the world , Aguirre disputes the Madrid P1 with Álex Chozas, where they appear as the 14th pair in the table . If the path to the Master Final remains arduous – only the 16 best players in the world participate in it – the Argentinian affirms with conviction:
“I’m sure I’ll get into the Masters.”
