The two players have just announced it on their social networks: Javi Rico et Juan Lu Esbri join forces for the 2024 season.
JuanLu Esbri came from lose your teammate end of season, Lucas Campagnolo. Indeed, the Brazilian announced he was joining forces with Agustin Gutiérrez for this new year on the Premier Padel. For the 23-year-old, it was necessary find a solution. It is therefore towards Javi Rico that JuanLu Esbri turned.
As a reminder, Javi Rico finished his 2023 season alongside rafael mendez. Together, they had created a surprise at Premier Padel Milano when leaving in particular the Gutierrezes, then the young Eduardo Alonso et Alex Arroyo.
In the new FIP ranking, Javi Rico is at the 28e place, while JuanLu Esbri is well behind, at the 58e. A ranking very different from that of World Padel Tour since Rico was 37e and Esbri, 33e.
In short, an association far in the ranking but which can surprise the best players. In any case, Javi Rico declared: “ we came together to give it our all this season! Already looking forward to it starting."
