On the occasion of Pink October , PadelThe padel federation is launching an initiative to promote women's participation in padel. It is called "Pink Sundays" The operation will allow women to discover or practice padel for free every Sunday in October in the chain's three clubs, in Paris-Bercy, Quimper and Soissons .
Free time slots every Sunday
The principle is simple: throughout the month of October, Tracks will be made available free of charge to practitioners. , along with the loan of rackets and balls .
À Bercy and Quimper The appointments are scheduled for October 4, 11, 18 and 25, from 16:30 p.m. to 18 p.m. .
À Soissons These same time slots will be offered, with two additional appointments: the October 4 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. , with an introduction to padel and a mini-tournament led by coach Maxence, then a Women's P100 on October 11th at 12pm .
The aim is, in particular, to allow those who wish to discover the discipline to do so in an accessible and friendly environment.
“Create momentum”
With this operation, PadelThe association also wants to highlight the still limited role of women in padel in France. Its president, Antoine Rapin explains the approach:
"Padel is so accessible and friendly that we can't be satisfied with only 16% female players in France, compared to nearly 40% in Spain, for example. There are many reasons for this, but it's also up to us, padel clubs, to try things to create momentum!"
The Pink Sundays These initiatives are therefore part of this desire to attract more female players to the courts, whether they are complete beginners or already experienced players.
A voluntary contribution to the Pink Ribbon Association
If access to the slots is completely free Participants who wish to do so will be able to complete a Free participation to benefit the Pink Ribbon Association committed to providing information and raising awareness about breast cancer.
Registration takes place at the following address booking.padelistes@gmail.com specifying the club and the desired date .
An initiative that combines the discovery of padel, women's practice and support for Pink October throughout the month of October.
