Long focused on a model  individually or in pairs Padel has seen the emergence of a diversity of  team competitions , with very different logics.
Closed franchise leagues, spectacular events, nation tournaments or one-off competitions bringing together the best players in the world: these formats coexist today without really competing with each other, each occupying a specific place in the professional and international padel ecosystem.

Pro Padel League (PPL) — USA / North America

Created 2023 the  Pro Padel League  is a  professional team league structured around a model of  Franchises  inspired by North American sports.
The competition brings together several teams based in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, with a season organized in stages, an All-Star event, and finals. The matches are played in  mixed teams , bringing together players from the professional circuit, in a format designed for visibility, entertainment and the development of padel in the North American market.

 World Padel League (WPL)

Launched in Dubai in 2023, the  World Padel League  offers a format  international and events , centered on the  show  and the staging of padel.
The teams, composed of players of different nationalities, compete in mixed-gender matches over a short period, without the structure of a long season. The WPL does not aim to establish a regular championship, but rather to create a media event that blends sport, entertainment, and global exposure.

Hexagon Cup — Europe / International

La  Hexagon Cup  is not a seasonal league but a  one-off team competition bringing together top-tier players.
Inspired by formats like the Laver Cup in tennis, it features teams partnered with renowned owners or ambassadors from the worlds of sports and entertainment. The format is  mixte with men's, women's and mixed matches, in a logic of collective confrontation rather than individual ranking.

 Reserve Padel Cup

La  Reserve Padel Cup organized in particular in Miami, is part of an approach  events and lifestyle  team padel.
Without aiming for a regular championship, it brings together teams composed of professional players and invited figures, in a very focused environment  experience, hospitality and brand image The format prioritizes visibility and media appeal rather than long-term sporting challenges.

Euro Padel Cup — European Team Cup

Organized by the  International Federation of Padel (FIP) , the  Euro Padel Cup  is a competition  by national teams reserved for European countries.
The format moves away from franchise or private models to move closer to a federal logic, where nations compete through official selections, within an institutional and sporting framework.

 World Padel Championships (FIP)

The  World Padel Team Championships organized by the FIP, constitute the main international competition  by nations .
Men and women represent their country in a collective format, which is part of a classic sporting tradition, comparable to the world championships of other disciplines, far removed from the logic of franchises or private events.

Not to be confused

Most traditional circuits such as  Premier Padel ,  World Padel Tour (ex pro circuit)  ou  A1 Padel  (before its suspension) are  individually or in pairs ,  not team leagues  over a season.
