After making a big splash in their entry into the main draw,  Dylan Guichard and Clément Geens  will try to push their limits even further at  Madrid P1 In the round of 32, the Frenchman and the Belgian will face the  10th seed, Maxi Arce / Juan Tello , respectively  26th and 19th in the world .

After a landmark victory, an even greater challenge awaits.

Guichard and Geens arrive with understandably high confidence. The day before, they delivered one of the greatest performances of their careers by eliminating  Víctor Ruiz / Mario Ortega , two players ranked around the top 50 and top 70 in the world,  7 / 6 7 / 6 .

A particularly solid match from the Franco-Belgian pair, able to stay in touch after conceding an early break before making the difference in the important moments.  Very few errors, a lot of volume, and two perfectly negotiated tie-breaks. .

For their return after the summer break of Premier PadelIt's hard to imagine a better comeback. But this time,  the level will rise another notch .

Arce/Tello lacking rhythm?

Facing them,  Maxi Arce and Juan Tello  They obviously represent a completely different challenge. On paper, the 10th seed will be the overwhelming favorite.

But Guichard and Geens might be able to find a small opening.  Arce and Tello haven't played in almost a month.  They are coming off a round of 16 appearance at the London P1. Therefore, for their return to competition, there could be a slight lack of match fitness to exploit, particularly at the start of the game.

Conversely,  Guichard and Geens already have three matches under their belts in Madrid. , between the qualifying rounds and the main draw. They found their bearings, built up confidence and above all proved that they could beat much higher ranked players.

The feat would be immense, but  You'll need to step onto the track believing in it immediately.  and try to put pressure on Arce / Tello before they can install their game.

The meeting is scheduled for  Seventh rotation starting at 9am on court 3 . A track that has served Guichard and Geens rather well: it was already there that they achieved their feat the day before.
