The major European and American padel authorities met to discuss the future of padel and Euroamerica Padel Cup. Due to the presence of the Spanish Padel Federation, Dominican, Portuguese, the president of the CAPF and the president of the European Padel Federation, the discussions and topics went well.

Here are the different people gathered around the table:

  • Alfredo Garbisu, president of the Spanish Padel Federation
  • Sergio Navarro, president of the Dominican Padel Federation
  • Ricardo Da Silva, president of the Portuguese Padel Federation
  • Philipe Cefont, president of the European Padel Federation (EPA)
  • Fabrice Pastor, President of Continental American Padel Federation

During this meeting it was planned to reinstate an already known success, EuroAmerica Padel Cup made in Portugal. The next event will take place in 2021 on the American continent.

Beyond EuroAmerica Padel Cup, these top European and American padel leaders met to decide the future of padel and professional padel. We are certainly only at the beginning of a long story, but several topics were discussed such as the development of padel in Latin America, Central America and the Caribbean, the awareness of our sport in Argentine or Dominican sports centers, the professionalization of the sport with training of referees, coaches, padel schools, physical preparation and nutrition.

We know the importance of all these issues, not only at European or American level, but also at global level. It is important to get a padel machine going. Let's just hope that these meetings give positive results, for the good of the sport.
