Dylan Guichard and Bastien Blanqué  deliver a tremendous performance at  Miami P1 The French team secured a commanding victory against the third seeded team in the qualifiers.  Miguel Benitez / Mario Ortega , on the score of  6/4 6/2 in 1h05 .

A landmark victory against two players from  world top 90  (91st and 72nd), which clearly confirms their rise to power.

A match controlled from start to finish

In this match, the French made the difference where it counted:  les points importants .

  •  80% of break points converted  (compared to 50% on the other side)
  •  49% of points earned in return  (compared to 33% for their opponents)

Figures that reflect a real  tactical and mental strength .
Guichard and Blanqué knew how to exploit where it hurt, particularly on the return games, to quickly gain the upper hand.

The result: a match that was generally well controlled, without any real lapses in concentration.

 A trend that is confirmed

This success didn't come out of nowhere.
The French duo is clearly continuing in the same vein as its  excellent start to the season .

We particularly remember their journey at  Riyadh P1  :

  • qualifying exit
  • victory against  Dominguez / Belluati
  • and above all a benchmark match against  Tapia / Coello , with a set won

Since then, the pair has continued to gain momentum.

At the world's top 100 level

By beating two top 90 players, Guichard and Blanqué send a clear message:
They have the skill to compete with the best players on the circuit.

This qualification for the  final table of a P1  This is the proof.

A painting that can bring a smile

Now let's turn to the main painting… with some interesting perspectives.

The French could inherit:

  • of a pair from the qualifiers
  • or duos like  Dominguez / Belluati ,
  •  Gala / Garcia ,
  • or,  Del Castillo / Vilarino

Needless to say, there is  a real opportunity to reach the round of 32 .

 An opportunity to seize

With this victory,  Guichard / Blanqué  are putting themselves in the best possible conditions to continue their journey.

Confidence, level of play, dynamics: all indicators are green.

What if this Miami P1 became their new benchmark tournament?

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
