Just a few days before celebrating his 24th birthday, mike yanguas tackles the new season of Premier Padel Currently ranked high in the world. number 8 FIP , the Spaniard forms with Franco Stupaczuk la pair 3 of the circuit , a status that confirms his constant progress in recent seasons.
An association that suits him perfectly
When asked on his YouTube channel about the partner with whom he felt he performed best, Yanguas did not hesitate:
"Playing with Franco makes me very happy; I think he's the partner who has helped me play my best."
A strong statement, especially considering he has already shared the stage with such renowned figures as Fernando Belasteguín ou Coki Nieto .
Version 2.0 of the project
This isn't the duo's first attempt. Their first collaboration dates back to the second half of 2024, also under the direction of Carlos Pozzoni This new season therefore marks a version 2.0 of the project, with more reference points and complete preparation together.
The goal is simple: to gain consistency in major tournaments and reduce the gap with the two pairs that currently dominate the ranking.
An assumed ambition
Yanguas makes no secret of his intentions:
"From a sporting perspective, we want to fight for everything this year. We are the third-ranked pair, there are two ahead of us, but with our level we can compete and fight on equal terms."
The message is clear: the duo is aiming for the finals and the titles, not just the semi-finals.
I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
