Twelfth season finale, third in a row. On world number 2, Ariana Sánchez and Paula Josemaría, held their rank perfectly in the semi-final of the Milan P1, imposing itself with authority in the face of Sofia Araújo and Andrea Ustero (n°4) on the score of 6 / 3 6 / 1A clear victory, symbolic of a reunited duo, both solid in the game and complicit on an emotional level.
A one-sided start to the match
From the start, the Spanish imposed their rhythm, breaking quickly to widen the gap and take control of the match. Despite a break in the first set, they immediately reacted to re-break and show that they had found their champion mentality again.
The statistics illustrate their dominance: 36 winning points for only 18 direct errors, as many errors as their opponents, but with a much higher offensive efficiency (only 21 winning points for Araújo and Ustero). A clear sign that the difference was made in attack, where Josemaría particularly shone.
Josemaría on fire, Sánchez surgical
Paula Josemaría delivered a high-level match, multiplying winning shots in his diagonal and often taking the initiative to conclude the points. Opposite, Ariana Sánchez played fair, with a impeccable tactical reading, using Araújo with his variations and precise placements.
The Spanish pair knew how to control the hot moments : no break points conceded, perfect management of the exchanges and a newfound cohesion. We feel them happier, more smiling and closer, aware that this end of season could allow them to regain their throne.

A renewed dynamic
The duo arrives in Milan with great regularity:
- 3rd consecutive semi-final,
- and now a 12th final of 2025 to come, the 30th of their career in Premier Padel.
Their last title dates back to Valladolid P2, last June. Since then, they have played two finals without managing to dethrone Gemma Triay and Delfi BreaBut this week in Milan, the signals are green: rhythm, confidence and a renewed complementarity.
Ustero and Araújo too tender
Opposite, the young Andrea Ustero (18 years) and Sofia Araújo never found the solution. Zero break points, too many inaccuracies, and a inconstancy who is unforgiving at this level. Ustero, promising but still learning, showed some good things without managing to resist the constant pressure from the world number 2s.
Towards a 3rd consecutive final against Triay / Brea?
Ariana Sánchez and Paula Josemaría will play their first match tomorrow final in Milan, a tournament where they had never reached this stage before. They will face either Gemma Triay / Delfi Breai.e Bea González / Claudia Fernández.
If the world number 1s win, we would find the same poster for the third consecutive time this season, with an ever-stronger rivalry between the two best pairs in the world.
Three and a half months after their last coronation, Sanchez and Josemaría seem to have returned to their best level. And this time, They want to go all the way.
I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
