In the heart of the month ofPink October, Federation of Padel (AFPadel) is once again committed to the fight against breast cancer. Through its solidarity campaign carried out in partnership with Think Pink, the AFPadel wishes to mobilize its entire community: clubs, players and partners, around a cause that goes far beyond the framework of sport.
Sport as a driving force for solidarity
Since October 1st, the French-speaking padel association has been wearing pink. The Federation's website has been adorned with the campaign's colors, a symbol of a visible and committed commitment.
Many affiliated clubs have also decided to participate in their own way: posting messages of support, solidarity tournaments, awareness-raising actions and even, for some, adopting pink balls on the grounds throughout the month.
This initiative is part of the Federation's desire to putting sports practice at the service of health and preventionPadel is above all a sport of conviviality and sharing; it was therefore natural for the community to unite around a cause that affects so many women and families each year.
A charity tournament already almost full
The highlight of this mobilization was theclosing event of the campaign will take place on Saturday November 8 within the club Padel & You in Soignies.
christened “The Pink Padel day”, this exclusively female event will bring together players from all over the region, in a sporting and supportive atmosphere.
Success is already there: registrations show almost complete, proof that the cause unites people well beyond the courts.
On All profits from the event will be donated to Think Pink, in order to support research and awareness programs carried out in the field.
A federation mobilized for an essential cause
Beyond the November 8 event, the AFPadel wishes to make this month of October a time of collective awareness.
The Federation encourages each of its affiliates to relay the campaignor a participate in charity tournaments or simply to display the color pink as a sign of support.
“Behind every event we organize, there are faces, stories and a huge desire to share more than just a match.
With Pink October, the entire padel community is mobilizing for a cause that affects us all, directly or indirectly.
Seeing our clubs, players and volunteers come together around this campaign is a real source of pride.
Thank you to everyone who wears pink on the field – you make a difference.”
