The final of  P1000 The Small Filet  turned in favor of the  seeded 2 ,  Arthaud Dumoulin and Eliot Deknuydt who achieved a prestigious victory against the favorites  Paul Fourichon / Lilian Foure (TS1) . A clear victory  6 / 3 6 / 4 built on a  better management of important points  and total  clearly superior aggressiveness .

A hard-fought first set… but poorly handled by the top seed.

The start of the match is very close. Both pairs create numerous opportunities and the tension is palpable. The statistic speaks for itself:  15 break points in the first set including  10 for the number 1 seed But Fourichon/Foure do not convert them.  only one , where Dumoulin / Deknuydt prove to be much more effective.

This inefficiency ultimately proves costly. More incisive in the rallies and sharper at the net,  Dumoulin and Deknuydt take the first set 6/3 , despite real opposition.

TS2 takes control in the second set

In the second round, the  lead series 2 break quickly  and will never be worried again. Solid on their service games,  Dumoulin and Deknuydt set their own pace , without ever letting TS1 get back into the game.

As for favorites,  Paul Fourichon appears more timid , struggling to make an impact in the exchange, while Lilian Foure failed to compensate for this lack of influence. On the other side,  Eliot Deknuydt and Arthaud Dumoulin deliver a full match aggressive, lucid and consistent to the end.

The figures confirm the superiority of the TS2

The statistics perfectly reflect the nature of the match:

  •  41 winning points  for Dumoulin / Deknuydt against  28  for the TS1
  • A  better efficiency on break points  (3/9 versus 1/11)
  • A similar volume of unforced errors, but a  much more marked initiative-taking  TS2 side

The difference came down to aggressiveness and the ability to close the deal.

A second P1000 together, confirming a solid duo

already winners of a  P1000 last December ,  Arthaud Dumoulin and Eliot Deknuydt  add one  second title in their joint record , by knocking out the number 1 seed in the final.

Well done to them.

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
