The quarter-finals of  P1000 PadelShot Reims  have completely reshuffled the deck. Among the top four seeds,  only the TS4 Théo Alvergnas / Maëlan Cipri  is still in contention for the title.

The hierarchy has therefore been largely shaken up, with several big upsets in the standings.

Setodji / Chevillard bring down TS2

First major result:  Thomas Setodji / Arthur Chevillard (TS8)  have eliminated  Baptiste Fabre / Basile Baud (TS2) .

Having already had to fight hard in the round of 16, Setodji/Chevillard perfectly managed their quarter-final to win  6 / 3 6 / 4 .

A real performance against a pair who were among the tournament's top favorites.

In the semi-final, they will meet  Grégoire Vignat / Thibault de Galbert (TS5) .

Vignat / De Galbert release the TS3

Another major surprise:  Vignat / De Galbert  have dominated  Cyril Durban / Romain Coirault (TS3) .

The TS5 is the clear winner.  6 / 4 6 / 2  and confirms that it is indeed one of the big outsiders in this P1000.

Alvergnas / Cipri are the only survivors of the top 4

In the lower part,  Théo Alvergnas / Maëlan Cipri (TS4)  They, for their part, lived up to their reputation perfectly.

They dominate  Tom Taieb / Kevin Guguin (TS6)  in two sets,  6 / 4 6 / 2 , and thus become the only pair from the top 4 still present in the final four.

On paper, they now regain the status of natural favorites for the title.

Macchi / Bertrand release number 1

But their semi-final will be far from easy.

Jérémy Macchi / Ulysse Bertrand (TS7)  pulled off the big upset in the lower half by eliminating  Alexis Arette-Hourquet / Paul Dornberger (TS1) .

The number 1 seeds had managed their round of 16 match well, but Macchi/Bertrand raised their game in the quarterfinals to win.  7 / 6 6 / 1 .

A victory that sends TS7 to the semi-finals and knocks out the last of the two initial favorites.

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
