The final of P1500 Haut-de-Nîmes opposed this Sunday the seeded 3, Pierre Vincent / Damien Bayard , in pairs Clément Filho / Charles Gortzounian (TS6). A duel that smelled of gunpowder, especially since Vincent and Bayard had already recently gained the upper hand over their opponents in the P1000 4 final.Padel Orleans, a month ago.
A one-sided first set
From the start, Vincent and Bayard set the pace. True to their attacking style, they stifled their opponents by taking control of the rallies. With 19 winning points against only 4 , they translate their domination on the scoreboard by breaking quickly to go towards the 6/3 .

The decisive tie-break
The second set was much more closely fought. Gortzounian and Filho raised the tone, especially on the return leg, and forced their opponents to work harder. Both teams held their serve firmly, and no one managed to break. It was then time for the tiebreak... where Bayard and Vincent took back the lead. Pierre Vincent, with his smash, made the difference, allowing his team to take flight and conclude. 7 / 6 (7 / 2) .

A first P1500 for the duo
Final score: 6 / 3 7 / 6 . Bayard and Vincent thus obtain their first P1500 together , confirming their good momentum after two P1000 wins in quick succession. A victory which solidifies their status as the in-form pair at the moment on the French circuit.
I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
