This time, the favorites lived up to expectations. After a draw marked by numerous surprises, the top two seeds will meet in the final of the  P2000 WinWin Padel Cabriès . But if  Damien Bayard and Pierre Vincent  took place in the semi-finals,  Maxime Forcin and Arthur Hugounenq  had to fight hard to overcome the tournament's best pair after a huge battle.

Forcin and Hugounenq put an end to Motz and Ledrap's dream.

It took nearly two hours of effort to  Maxime Forcin and Arthur Hugounenq  to overcome  Julien Motz and Guillaume Ledrap , authors of a remarkable tournament. The number 2 seed wins  7/6 6/7 6/4  at the end of a very high-level semi-final.

In very fast-paced play, break point opportunities were extremely rare. The first set was a real battle, with each team holding serve perfectly. Only one break point was earned, but it wasn't converted.

Opposite,  Guillaume Ledrap  had a very good first round, well supported by a  Julien Motz  Very impactful offensively. But in the tie-break, Ledrap's performance dipped slightly, committing several unforced errors which allowed Forcin and Hugounenq to take the lead.

The scenario repeated itself in the second set. Motz and Le Drap raised their level even further, creating several break point opportunities but failing to convert them. Forcin and Hugounenq held firm and once again forced a tiebreak.

This time, there's no contest. Motz and Le Drap dominate the tiebreak, winning  7 points to 0 , a logical reward given their level in this second round.

In the final set, the favorites seemed to have more control over the rallies. They were very solid on their service games, winning them frequently.  40-0 They put constant pressure on their opponents. Motz and Le Drap resist until  3/3 , before Arthur Hugounenq  he makes an exceptional off-track excursion to give his team the decisive break.

Despite some hard-fought final games, Forcin and Hugounenq did not falter when it came time to close out the game and secured their place in the final.

Bayard and Vincent without hesitation

The other semi-final was much more expeditious.  Damien Bayard and Pierre Vincent , seeded 1, left little hope for  Arthaud Dumoulin and Tom Couturier , seeded 4.

They were very solid from start to finish and they prevailed.  6 / 1 6 / 3 , confirming their status as favorites and securing their  first P2000 final  together.

A quick victory that could prove crucial. While Forcin and Hugounenq were digging deep for over two hours, Bayard and Vincent were able to conserve energy before the decisive encounter.

A final between the two top favorites

The final will therefore pit the top two seeds against each other:

Damien Bayard / Pierre Vincent (TS1)  salary.  Maxime Forcin / Arthur Hugounenq (TS2) .

A highly anticipated duel that will conclude this  P2000 WinWin Padel Cabriès , to be continued  directly on Padel MagTV , right after the women's final.

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
