Pablo Crosetti, an Argentine coach, is a key player in world padel. In an interview for Sports world, he looks back on his career and his role in the training of several big names in padel, notably Agustín Tapia.

Beginnings in Argentina

Crosetti began his career in Argentina, where he co-founded an academy with his friend Andrés Pronsatto, and that's where he discovered Agustín Tapia. Among their students were also Mati del Moral, Gonza Alfonso and Fede Chiostri. “We had 9 of the 12 members of the Argentina Under-18 team.”

Arrival in Spain and meeting with NOX

After a tragic event with the death of one of his students, Elias Star, Crosetti decides to settle in Spain, where he joins the brand NOX and works on the development of the academy Nox Future Academy. Its goal: to train new talents. “NOX’s dream was to have an academy that leaves a mark on time.”

From the moment they met, Crosetti saw Tapia's potential. He even hosted the young prodigy for two years in Spain. "Agus stayed with me for two years, until I told him he earned more money than me." This relationship went beyond the professional sphere, Tapia being for him "much more than a student, like a little brother."

From the start, Crosetti knew that Tapia could become the best: “It would have been a big disappointment in my career if he had not reached the world number one spot.” The turning point for Tapia was taking care of his physique and his diet, which transformed him into one of the best players in the world. “When he decided to focus on his professionalism, he became the player he was destined to be.”

La Nox Future Academy and the talents of tomorrow

Under Crosetti's direction, the Nox Future Academy becomes a training center for young rising stars like Tino Libaak et Leo Augsburg. These players have already proven themselves on the international stage, and Crosetti firmly believes in their potential. “Ramiro Valenzuela and Dylan Cuello are the most promising; they showed an impressive level in Paraguay, playing at a level to rival Bela and Tello.”

Recently, Tino Libaak joined Fernando Belasteguin, a milestone that fills Libaak with pride. “Tino always said that playing with Bela was a story he would tell his children. He is excited to learn alongside the greatest in history. For my part, I will coach the team during the tournaments in Egypt, Kuwait and Acapulco.”

Between the management of the Nox Future Academy and its collaborations with new projects such as Aurial, Crosetti does not lack ambitions. “What I want now is to develop the future top 10. I believe I am good at accompanying young people towards professionalism.”
